On March 24, 2023, Luke stumbled into a bar that would indefinitely seal his fate.

Sandra strolled into the same bar to share her heavenly singing voice for Friday Night Karaoke Donna’s Bar.

Luke being Luke, made small talk with strangers, who mysteriously discovered that midnight was the start of Luke’s 32nd birthday. These newly acquired “friends” did not know that he is a type 1 diabetic. The owner of the bar, Sophie, appeared like an angel with a birthday cake for Luke.

Sandra followed the sugary goodness, which lead her right to Luke.

After he politely refused the cake, Sandra seized the moment to satisfy her rather large, sweet tooth. Although he could not enjoy the cake, Luke captured the best possible birthday present, a chat with Sandra.

5 Months Later….

Luke & Sandra would finally cross paths again in all places, Wildwood, NJ.

After both experiencing months of romantic disasters in the “dating & relationship” sphere, this chance encounter would lead to a conversation between these two soulmates, that has yet to finish.

After securing her father’s blessing, and with family by his side, Luke proposed to Sandra on the particular beach Sandra & her family had been going too forever.

As Sandra came over the dunes with her mother, sister, & goddaughter, she saw Luke holding a neon sign saying “Will You Marry Me” in one hand and a ring box in the other. Anthony (Sandra’s brother in law) and Frank (Luke’s Dad) had the difficult task of keeping upright the pvc built frame holding the backdrop of Disney’s Cinderella Castle during this windy beach “picnic”. Sandra threw down her purse and ran towards Luke to read the sign and take in this magical moment.

Neither one could utter any words.

The tears began to flow as he put the ring on her finger. The kisses, hugs, champagne, and incessant questions from Sandra’s mother asking if she said “Yes” capped off a perfect Beach/Disney proposal.
